SRX Hybrid?
2010-12-17
Some fairly interesting news coming out of GM today regarding its plug-in program. According to MotorTrend, GM is just shy of officially approving a Cadillac SRX-based plug-in hybrid. Most noteworthy is the possibility that both Chevy Volt and Saturn Vue plug-in hybrid technology could be used in this new plug-in. Unfortunately, the Saturn Vue plug-in hybrid never become a reality, but what was interesting about that powertrain was that it was a plug-in based off GM’s dual mode hybrid architecture. Thus, this new SRX could be a hybrid of both Voltec and dual mode plug-in hybrid technology according to MotorTrend’s report. For now, however, the SRX plug-in has not been officially approved by GM’s board?" maybe a NAIAS debut is in the works? source:hybridcarblog.com- Recent News & Events
